Essential Functions: Carry out a program of study prescribed in the lesson plans left by the classroom teacher Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and objectives as indicated in the lesson plans Maintain a neat and orderly classroom. Take attendance in accordance with school procedures (we are available to assist) Indicate to students the basic expectations for behavior in the class in accordance with WCS policies Know emergency evacuation routes for classroom assigned(we are available to assist) Know procedures for referring students who are disciplinary problems(we are available to assist) May perform duties usually required of absent teacher such as bus duty, hall monitoring or other duties assigned by building principal Qualifications: Substitute Teaching Permit Age 18+ High School Diploma Ability to maintain effective classroom management Ability to follow oral and written directions Length of Contract: 180 Days Position Type: Non-Exempt Position Type: Part-Time #J-18808-Ljbffr Warsaw Community High School
