Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Our client, a large medical device company, is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join their team. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be part of the Shipping/Receiving department The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, technical aptitude and a team-player mentality, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Location: Long Beach, CA
Pay Rate Range: $20/hr. - $23/hr.
Duration: 6 - 12 month assignment
- Informing supervisor of factors such as shipments, options, timeliness, transfers or regulations affecting shipments.
- Preparing shipping documentation such as: bills of lading, packing lists, docking receipts or certificates of origin.
- Providing shipment status notifications.
- Verifying proper packaging and labeling of products.
- Keeping records of products dispatched or received.
- Monitoring or recording locations of products in transit.
- Arranging delivery or storage of product at destination.
- Verifying adherence of documentation to customers, insurance, or regulatory requirements.
- Receiving shipments from suppliers, stage orders, check shipping labels and preparing BOLs.
- Communicating effectively with drivers and assign dock doors as needed.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor
- High School Diploma or GED.
- year of working as a shipping/receiving clerk or warehouse dispatcher.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to execute multiple productive activities.
- Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm
