Dietary Aide (Part-Time)Willow Creek Health Care Center Location: Clovis, Ca. Pay Rate: $17.48 per hour Schedule: Part-Time Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)General PurposeDietary Aide assignments are determined based on the needs and activity of each shift. This position reports to the Cook and Dietary Supervisor and supports daily food service operations to ensure residents receive meals in a safe, clean, and timely manner.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLearn and follow food service routines in a timely mannerSet up and serve meal traysStrip returned trays and wash dishesOperate dishwasher and monitor dishwashing cyclesCheck and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwasher at the beginning of the shiftPrepare nourishments and snacksClean and sanitize kitchen work areas, equipment, and refrigeratorsSweep, mop, and maintain kitchen and dining area floorsTake out trash and garbageProperly store groceries in a safe, clean, and organized mannerLeave kitchen areas clean and sanitary at the end of each shiftAssist the Cook or Dietary Supervisor as neededParticipate in orientation and ongoing dietary trainingWork cooperatively with staff across all departmentsSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilitiesQualificationsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredLanguage SkillsAbility to read technical procedures and follow recipesAbility to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkersMathematical SkillsAbility to apply basic math concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportionsReasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problemsAbility to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule-based instructionsCertificates / LicensesMust obtain and maintain a Food Handler's CertificatePhysical DemandsFrequent standing and walkingAbility to lift up to 50 poundsFrequent reaching, pushing, pulling, talking, hearing, tasting, and smellingOccasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawlingVisual abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perceptionReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functionsWork EnvironmentKitchen and food service environmentNoise level typically low to moderateReasonable accommodations available as neededAdditional InformationThis job description does not limit management's right to assign or reassign duties at any time.
