Description

The Clinical Research Associate will support the operational and administrative functions of clinical trials, serving as a key liaison between study participants and the research team. Under the supervision of the Clinical Research Coordinator and Director of Research Operations, the CRA will assist with subject scheduling, data entry, biospecimen coordination, and regulatory documentation. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and institutional policies.

Key Responsibilities

Study & Subject Coordination:

• Schedule and prepare subject visits; perform reminder calls and serve as a primary contact for subject inquiries.
• Ensure subject visit adherence to protocol and document adverse events and treatment responses.
• Coordinate biospecimen collection, processing, and shipment according to protocol.

Data & Documentation:

• Assist in accurate and timely entry of clinical data into the Clinical Research Management System (CRMS).
• Maintain study binders, subject charts, and regulatory documentation to ensure audit readiness.
• Track and manage lab kits and sponsor-specific supplies for patient visits.

Compliance & Communication:

• Ensure Good Clinical Practice (GCP), HIPAA, and institutional guidelines are followed at all times.
• Communicate with study sponsors, monitors, and clinical staff to support study milestones.
• Participate in site initiation, monitoring, and close-out visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate degree with 1–2 years of relevant experience accepted.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in clinical research, patient coordination, or related field.
• Familiarity with ICH-GCP guidelines, IRB processes, and regulatory documentation.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Compensation

$24-29 per hour, based on experience.

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic, if applicable, for extended periods; occasionally lift objects up to 25 lbs., bend, stoop, or reach as needed. Frequent use of hands and fingers for patient care and equipment operation. Must have normal (or corrected) vision and hearing and be able to respond quickly in a fast-paced clinical environment, if applicable.
