Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into an engaging role supporting students’ communication growth in a welcoming K-12 environment. As a contract speech-language pathologist, you’ll impact young lives across two school sites, collaborating with passionate educators while guiding students through their individual progress. This is an itinerant opportunity with paid travel between sites. Your journey will span from September 1st through June 27th, with full-time hours and a caseload size to be finalized soon. Whether you’re seasoned or completing your Clinical Fellowship Year, your expertise will be highly valued as part of a collaborative special education team.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid NY state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or actively pursuing CFY
- Experience or training in pediatric and school-based populations
- Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Adaptability to serve diverse student needs in K-12 settings
- Understanding of IEP processes (training provided if needed)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy to students across two sites
- Complete thorough evaluations and contribute to IEP development
- Participate in team meetings, with paid time for required administrative tasks
- Document progress and maintain compliance with school and state regulations
- Consult and collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary staff
- Travel as needed between assigned school sites (mileage compensated)
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
