About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 Hours Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 3 years of recent ICU experience License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience must include either neuro or cardiovascular. Experience must also include titration of drips such as Propofol, Fentanyl, Versed, Precedex, Morphine, Dilaudid, Ketamine, Rocuronium, Levophed, Vasopressin, Cardene, Labetalol, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Heparin, and Insulin. Charge Nurse experience is required without patient assignment. RN must interpret their own telemetry strips. Description: This position requires a minimum of 3 years of recent ICU experience. No exceptions to this requirement will be made. Experience must include either neuro or cardiovascular cases. The RN will be responsible for a nurse to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1. There will be a requirement to float to other ICUs as necessary. The expectation is to float between ICU units with a focus on trauma, neuro, and specialty cases. Common patient diagnoses include Level 1 trauma cases, sepsis, ARDS, COVID-19, and post-surgical recovery. Equipment used in this unit includes various ventilators and BiPap systems. Self-scheduling is available, but managers may need to adjust shifts for unit needs. Weekend requirements include 3 weekends within a 4-week schedule. There are no additional call or standby shifts required, but low census may occur up to 3 times per contract. Floating to telemetry may be required with a 1:3 or 1:4 ratio as needed.
