Position Summary Position Summary and responsibilities of this role include providing member service, maintaining checkout areas, resolving member issues, promoting products, supporting members with self‑service technology, processing purchases, handling payments and returns, maintaining safety and security, training associates, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Responsibilities Provides member service. Maintains the checkout area. Resolves member issues and concerns. Promotes Sam's Club products and services. Provides guidance and support to members regarding self‑service technology. Processes member purchases. Assists with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types. Follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps. Follows proper procedures for handling merchandise. Corrects and reports unsafe situations to facility management. Maintains entrance and exit areas. Acknowledges members, verifies membership cards, and identifies member needs. Assists members with purchasing decisions and locating merchandise. Zones the area and arranges and organizes merchandise. Assists members with transporting items, ensuring a safe shopping environment. Reviews member receipts and assists with securing and safeguarding Sam's Club assets and property. Maintains paperwork, logs, and other required documentation. Executes emergency response procedures. Ensures compliance with company security and safety practices. Assists with the training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures. Teaches new technology and tool functionality. Delivers new programs rollout training. Provides continuous learning and process improvement opportunities. Identifies shrink and damages. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. Completes work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identifies priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicates progress and information; recommends ways to address improvement opportunities; adapts to and learns from change, difficulties, and feedback. Qualifications Retail experience including operating front‑end equipment (e.g., cash register). Working with mobile retail applications. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
