Our team is currently seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Bookkeeper for an opportunity based in Eastport, New York . This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and experience supporting day-to-day financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and transactions
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Assist with payroll processing and related reporting
- Prepare journal entries and support month-end close activities
- Monitor invoices, expenses, and general ledger activity
- Help ensure compliance with company accounting procedures and internal controls
Qualifications:
- Previous bookkeeping or general accounting experience
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle NetSuite, SAP, or similar systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
