About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the specialty License: GA or Compact nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: - Previous experience in an emergency room setting - Ability to interpret dysrhythmias - Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure - Central line care and management - Management of patients requiring continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors - BiPAP/CPAP management - Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs) - Care of ventilated patients - Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE - Triage experience Description: WEEKEND: Every other weekend required. CALL: No call required. FLOATING: Float within the facility as needed. Compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant by the deadline, there may be a push back of up to two weeks due to scheduling. Travelers are expected to work one major holiday during the assignment period if it falls within their scheduled time. If two major holidays fall within their assignment period, they are expected to work both. If three major holidays occur within their assignment period, they are expected to work two of those holidays. Major holidays include: - Memorial Day - Independence Day - Labor Day - Thanksgiving/Black Friday - Christmas Eve/Christmas Day - New Year's Eve/New Year's Day All compliance documents must be completed in a timely manner. Modules are non-billable and will be completed during orientation. Modules vary by specialty and are documented via transcripts. Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate. Compliance is necessary for onboarding to ensure all items/labs are completed as per the requirements. Job seekers must have a solid understanding of emergency room practices and protocols.
