• Shift: 12-hour Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (x3 days/week)
• Hours/Week: 36 hours per week
• Employment Type: Contract / Temporary
• Licenses/Certifications: Kansas RN license, BLS, ACLS
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year recent Telemetry experience; preferred 2-5 years.
• Float Requirements: Will float to all acute care units as needed
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• Holiday Work: Based on unit needs; must work Memorial Day and July 4th
• Note: No on-call requirement; orientation includes 8 hours non-billable training, with multiple days of Epic and nurse leadership training

What You'll Do

• Provide expert nursing care to telemetry patients, including setup and monitoring of cardiac drips like Heparin, Lasix, Cardizem, and Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation
• Manage patient assessments, medication administration, and documentation via EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective care
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Assist with procedures involving TR Band's immediately post-operation
• Keep updated with unit protocols and maintain compliance with hospital policies
• Support float and staffing coverage across various acute care units as needed

What You Need

• Required:
  • Kansas RN license (active)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum 1 year recent telemetry experience
  • Experience with cardiac drips, TR Band procedures, and medication initiation processes
• Preferred:
  • 2–5 years of telemetry experience
  • Additional skills with acute cardiac care
