Construction Manager II

As a Construction Manager II, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality infrastructure projects by overseeing construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications, and fostering strong relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders. This position requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership, and communication skills to support successful project execution from pre‑construction through closeout. Department Construction Management Location Colorado Springs, CO Core Responsibilities Oversee day‑to‑day construction activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget Monitor contractor performance for compliance with plans, specifications, and applicable standards Coordinate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and clients to resolve field issues efficiently Review and track project schedules, submittals, RFIs, and change orders Facilitate and lead construction meetings, including progress, coordination, and safety meetings Ensure adherence to safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, quantity tracking, and progress records Assist in cost control efforts, including reviewing pay applications and supporting budget tracking Identify risks and proactively develop solutions to mitigate impacts to schedule and cost Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff and field personnel Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, final inspections, and documentation Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering (P.E.
