Hours of Work: 7p-7a Days Of Week: 24/7 Work Shift: 12X3 Night (United States of America) Location: Methodist Richardson Medical Center, Bush / Renner Campus, Richardson, TX Job Description Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking a full time Night Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join its TEAM. The RRT will provide therapy and diagnostic services under indirect supervision of the department’s medical director, following department policies and procedures. Responsibilities Perform respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration and weaning, aerosol and humidity therapy, IPPB, incentive spirometry, airway maintenance, bronchial hygiene, chest physiotherapy, CPR and mechanical ventilation. Perform and report cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function studies and electrocardiograms. Prepare a treatment evaluation, including bedside respiratory assessment, patient interview and review of medical record. Use critical‑thinking skills to determine appropriate actions, interpreting CXR, ABG and PFT results. Assemble, check, operate and troubleshoot cardiopulmonary equipment including artificial airways, ventilators, oxygen analyzers, oxygen delivery devices and blood gas analyzers. Participate in infection control, safety and quality assurance tasks. Perform cleaning and maintenance of all cardiopulmonary equipment and work areas. Use appropriate patient communication skills to improve satisfaction. Perform other duties as required. Requirements Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program. Current Basic Life Support certification. Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification. NRP and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification (must obtain within 1 year of hire). Licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Texas Medical Board. Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care. New graduates are welcome to apply.
