The main purpose of the Accounting Clerk within Paradise Door and Service is to support our accounting team, projects, and vendors by keeping daily financial transactions accurate and up to date. The Accounting Clerk will handle data entry, invoice processing, and recordkeeping for multiple active construction projects at once. The more specific responsibilities are listed below but include accounts payable, accounts receivable, document tracking, and general administrative support for the accounting department. Paradise Door and Service is a subcontractor in the construction industry. We help customers achieve their vision to execute high-end architectural entrances within agreed upon budget and schedule. End-users of past and current projects include but are not limited to: Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, Netflix, and Nvidia.

Job Responsibilities:

•       Enter and code vendor invoices to the correct jobs and cost codes

•       Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents, and resolve discrepancies

•       Prepare check runs and process vendor payments for approval

•       Enter customer invoices and progress billings into the accounting system

•       Post customer payments and maintain accurate accounts receivable records

•       Follow up on past-due invoices under the direction of the Accountant

•       Collect, track, and file lien waivers, W-9s, and certificates of insurance

•       Respond to vendor and customer inquiries about invoices and payments

•       Code and reconcile employee expense reports and company credit card statements

•       Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems for accounting records

•       Assist with month-end close tasks and reconciliations as needed

•       Provide general administrative support to the accounting department

•       Actively re-prioritize daily tasks to meet payment and billing deadlines

Qualifications & Skills:

•       High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree in Accounting or a related field preferred

•       1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or data entry experience

•       Construction industry experience preferred

•       Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred, or similar accounting software

•       Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office 365 products

•       Basic understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable

•       Fast and accurate data entry with strong attention to detail

•       Excellent math skills

•       Strong written and verbal communication skills

•       Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

•       Functions effectively as part of a team

•       Excellent time management and organizational skills
