Fleet Mechanic

Candidates must be highly safety conscious, enthusiastic, detail oriented and well organized in order to ensure our vehicles are maintained to the highest level of safety and performance. Date Posted 7/23/2026 Pay $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Job Summary The fleet mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostic testing and repairs on a growing variety of vehicles and vehicle systems. Vehicles will include sedans, pick-up trucks, service vans, utility trucks, and utility trucks with cranes, straight trucks, bobtails, tractors, trailers, dump trucks and construction equipment. Vehicle systems will include a/c, brakes, electrical, power train, suspension, tires, computer systems, metering systems, piping and tanks. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Maintain outstanding customer service at all times Ensure the consistency and quality of each task performed Perform vehicle inspections, diagnosis and repairs on all fleet vehicles and equipment Perform all aspects of vehicle repairs by using various types of diagnostics and testing equipment Be responsible for the cleanliness of the area where work is performed Clearly communicate details of the vehicle service to the Fleet Manager Neatly and completely fill out service paperwork Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum of 2-4 years of experience preferred but willing to train the right candidates Able to use hand tools, air tools and power tools Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision Able to work well under pressure and tight dead lines Work in accordance with established safety procedures Pay And Benefits $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Pay is based on experience Job Type: Full-time Benefits 401(k) with Profit Sharing Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) Employee Assistance Program Employee discounts Flexible schedule Paid Holidays Paid Sick/Personal Time Paid Vacations Robust benefits make Mitchell a great place to build a career!
