ICU Neonatal Registered Nurse
This position requires night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
As a competent ICU Neonatal Registered Nurse in a Level 2 NICU, you will practice independently while demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of care. You will provide both routine and complex care, contributing to long-range goals and plans for your patients. The role demands continuous development in coping with clinical contingencies and managing patients' various needs.
Provide comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
Document patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided.
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
Current STABLE certification required.
Current BLS certification (AHA only) required.
Current NRP certification required.
Active RN License in the state of Texas or compact.
