Nuclear Medicine Technologist

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) provides specialized imaging services in Radiology and Cardiology using nuclear medicine techniques. This role requires at least one year of experience and the ability to work independently in a low volume hospital setting. The technologist performs diagnostic procedures, operates GE imaging equipment, and collaborates with clinical teams to ensure high-quality patient care. The position involves optional post-shift and weekend call, with mandatory holiday call coverage. Responsibilities:

• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures in Radiology and Cardiology departments.
• Operate and maintain GE nuclear medicine imaging equipment.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during diagnostic procedures.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to provide accurate diagnostic information.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Float to outpatient center and affiliated locations as needed.
• Work independently as the sole NMT on shift in a small team environment.

• Minimum of 1 year of nuclear medicine technologist experience; first-timers accepted.
• Certification by NMTCB or CNMT required.
• Experience operating GE nuclear medicine equipment required.
• Ability to work independently and manage a low volume workload.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Valid licensure as required by state regulations at time of submission.

• Prior experience in outpatient and hospital-based nuclear medicine departments.
• Familiarity with both radiology and cardiology nuclear medicine procedures.

• Monday through Friday schedule with no regular weekends.
• Post-shift and weekend call is optional; holiday call coverage is mandatory.
• May be required to float to outpatient centers and affiliated locations.
• Must be able to work independently as the only NMT on shift.
• Facility may call off once per two-week pay period.
