Job Summary Associate Account Executive will engage with members to secure significant cost savings through VHPC purchasing agreements. The role involves presenting vendor contract information, analyzing savings via data analytics, documenting savings, providing feedback to the Contract Sourcing Department, and retaining members by delivering ongoing value. Key Responsibilities Routine ongoing interaction with assigned members to drive savings and value by maximizing the use of the VHPC portfolio of contracts. Engage with senior leaders such as Chief Supply Chain Officers, Purchasing Agents, CFOs, CEOs, and other C‑Suite executives. Use analytics and pivot tables to validate and document savings for assigned members and present the financial and value proposition for contract savings. Maintain internal documentation of contract usage and savings for invoicing purposes. Share results and opportunities with other VHPC team members and client members as a team player. Collaborate with vendor representatives to facilitate meetings and interactions with VHPC members when needed. Participate in conventions and other marketing venues as required. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Technical Capabilities Program Management (Intermediate): Plan, organize, and manage resources to achieve savings goals. Financial Processes (Intermediate): Monitor costs, expenses, and revenue, managing them against budgets. Process Improvement (Intermediate): Identify, analyze, and improve business processes. Peer Leadership (Intermediate): Demonstrate influence and leadership among peers and above. Networking (Intermediate): Build relationships through industry contacts and professional organizations. Quality Management (Intermediate): Develop systematic processes to meet quality requirements. Excel (Intermediate or above): Export documents, create pivot tables, use VLOOKUP, and other advanced functions. PowerPoint (Intermediate): Create monthly presentations, quarterly business reviews, and ad‑hoc presentations. Use and navigate other business applications (e.g., Vizient Portal). Core Accountabilities Execute job responsibilities with an understanding of how outcomes affect other areas. Analyze complex problems using technical experience and judgment. Apply expanded knowledge gained through professional experience. Provide informal guidance and support to team members. Support colleagues by developing self and others, building relationships, and communicating effectively. Deliver excellent services, solve complex problems, offer meaningful advice, and ensure high quality. Foster innovation, apply new technologies, and adapt to change. Make data‑driven decisions and steward organizational resources responsibly. Position Qualifications Strong interpersonal skills to interact with VHPC members and team members. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Occasional travel required, especially for remote employees outside the Nashville area. Relevant work experience: at least 3 years in a similar role.
