Hospitalist Physician

Join Our Team at Avera Spencer We re seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to join our hospitalist team and provide exceptional care to patients in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

What You ll Do

• Work as part of the 2 physician, 2 APP hospitalist team for Spencer Hospital, a community- owned, 99 bed facility.
• Hospitalist and APP typically see between 18-22 patients per day.
  
  
• eHospitalist service available for back-up coverage when needed.
• No required procedures, but opportunities for procedures is available if desired.
• Over 1,400 physicians and APP's available for consult through the Avera Health network.

Schedule

• Rotating 7 day on, 7 day off schedule
• Scheduled shifts of 7am to 7pm, Monday to Monday
• Overnight call coverage 2-3 nights during scheduled week on (eHospitalist service available to take first call)

Qualifications

• MD or DO, licensed (or eligible) in Iowa
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• DEA certification (state and federal)
