This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.We are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer to join our Operations team at Blue Origin. This role will lead the design and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems, ensure stringent quality control throughout production, and optimize supply chain logistics specific to Production/Operations. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, skilled in resource management, and committed to high-quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance production timelines. Leveraging advanced technologies and methodologies, you will contribute to improving manufacturing techniques, ensuring Blue Origin’s continued innovation and excellence in aerospace engineering.Position Specific Details:Shifts: Multiple shifts availableLocation: This role will be onsite in TX. It is approved for a temporary remote work exception.Relocation: AvailableKey Responsibilities:Support the industrialization of new products in areas such as solar arrays, integration and test, avionics, structures, etc.Contribute to design for manufacturability (DfM), design for assembly (DfA), design for test (DfT), key to building reliable vehicles for space exploration.Translate engineering requirements into robust, repeatable manufacturing processes that support Blue Origin’s mission.Collaborate closely with design engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate building a road to space.Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, tool designs, and inspection plans.Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and methods (e.g., composites, precision machining, additive manufacturing, advanced assembly).Support root cause analysis of process or product non-conformances; develop and implement corrective actions that enhance reliability and performance.Ensure all work aligns with applicable quality and safety standards (AS9100, ISO 9001), supporting a safe and sustainable future in space.Participate in process FMEAs, risk assessments, and validation of new production lines and equipment.Identify and complete opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction, optimizing our ability to achieve our mission at scale.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering (other relevant fields may apply) from an accredited university3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering rolePrior internship experience in areas of aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicle structures, automotive manufacturing or similarStrong understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing, including knowledge of GD&TStrong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)1+ years of experience creating English work instructionsMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylumMust be able to work second shift and have flexibility to move shifts as needed. Open to work extended hours if required.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in high-rate assembly lines for aerospace and/or automotive is preferredHands on experience with building flight hardwareExperience working with Bill-of-materials and BOM reconciliationPrior manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace or automotiveExperience with design, development or production of launch vehicles or spacecraftKnowledge of Lean manufacturing practices & principlesProficient with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software (Creo or CATIA V5)Experience with AS9100 quality standardsCustomer focused with a proven track record to work cooperatively with teams of different skills across large geographic distancesStrong organizational and analytical skillsCulture StatementDon’t meet all desired requirements?
