Full Time Warehouse Receiver

Stew Leonard's, a family-owned and operated fresh food store founded in 1969, has locations in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Stew's earned its nickname, the "Disneyland of Dairy Stores" because of its country-fair atmosphere, with costumed characters and animated entertainment throughout the store that keep children entertained while parents shop.

Warehouse Receiver is responsible for the timely and accurate receipt of product and placement in specific areas of the warehouse. Received goods are unloaded and content is broken down and reviewed to ensure the correct items and quantities have been delivered based on the purchase order.

Education and Experience (include knowledge, skills and abilities):

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have forklift experience/license
• Good communication skills, both written and oral in English
• Good organizational skills
• Possesses basic math skills
• The ability to multi-task

Working Conditions:

• The temperature in the department is colder than room temperature due to products being highly perishable
• Due to regional climate, the receiving dock may be colder than room temperature as the dock doors open frequently to accept deliveries
• The position requires frequent walking, standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, squatting and reaching with a maximum of 110lbs
