Controller - High Volume Ford Dealership

Ken Grody Ford is a respected Ford dealership with over 30 years of experience. Position Summary The Controller is responsible for the overall financial integrity of the dealership, including financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, compliance, budgeting support, and management of the accounting office. The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the dealership leadership team, work closely with dealership management, ownership, and will report to our Corporate Controller to support operational and financial objectives. The Controller will provide leadership and training to an established accounting team and mentor an experienced Office Manager while strengthening accounting processes, internal controls, and financial reporting functions. Key Responsibilities Oversee dealership accounting operations and month‑end financial statement preparation Review and analyze financial results, schedules, and reconciliations Maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures Manage general ledger activity and balance sheet reconciliations Ensure compliance with manufacturer, corporate, and regulatory requirements Monitor contracts in transit, reserve accounts, incentive receivables, inventory, and warranty receivables Assist with budgeting and financial analysis Coordinate annual audits and prepare sales tax reporting Lead, mentor, and develop accounting office personnel Partner with dealership leadership to improve processes and operational performance Qualifications Minimum 5 years of automotive dealership accounting experience Prior Controller or Assistant Controller experience Strong knowledge of dealership financial statements and accounting practices (GAP) Experience supervising accounting staff Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Dealer Built / Lightyear DMS experience preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Employee Vehicle Purchase Program Employee DiscountsProfessional Development and Career Growth Opportunities Why Join Ken Grody Ford?
