Restaurant General Manager

GENERAL MANAGER – FINE DINING RESTAURANT

An established, upscale full-service restaurant in Hollywood is seeking a strong, hands-on General Manager to lead our Front of House operations and overall restaurant team.

We are looking for an experienced hospitality professional who understands the standards, attention to detail, and level of service required in a fine dining environment. This position requires a leader who is highly present on the floor, comfortable holding a team accountable, and equally focused on the guest experience and the business behind the restaurant.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Candidates should have either:

• Proven experience as a General Manager in a fine dining or upscale, high-volume restaurant , OR
• Significant experience as a strong Assistant General Manager/Assistant Manager in a fine dining environment who is ready and qualified to step into the lead role.

This is not an entry-level management position.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Lead daily restaurant operations and oversee Front of House service
• Maintain high standards for hospitality, service, cleanliness, and presentation
• Recruit, train, develop, schedule, and manage FOH employees
• Provide consistent coaching, feedback, and accountability
• Maintain a strong management presence on the floor during service
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and ensure the team is prepared for service
• Handle guest concerns professionally and proactively
• Work closely with the Executive Chef and BOH leadership to maintain smooth operations
• Manage labor and scheduling based on business needs
• Monitor payroll, overtime, attendance, and staffing levels
• Maintain knowledge of food, wine, spirits, cocktails, and service standards
• Oversee opening and closing procedures
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable health and safety requirements
• Assist with inventory, purchasing, cost controls, and operational reporting
• Communicate regularly with ownership regarding operations, staffing, guest feedback, and areas requiring attention
• Identify problems early and take ownership of resolving them

You should understand that being a General Manager means being present, knowing what is happening throughout the restaurant, and taking responsibility for both the guest experience and the performance of your team.

Strong food and beverage knowledge is important. Experience with fine dining service standards, wine programs, reservations, POS systems, scheduling, labor management, and restaurant financials is highly preferred.

SCHEDULE:

Full-time management position. Must have flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the business.
