Overview: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

Full Time and Part Time available Incentives: New Grad $5,000 Sign-on bonus for nightshift only

1-2 years’ RN experience Sign-on bonus $13,000 for nightshift only

3-4 years’ RN experience Sign-on bonus $15,000 for nightshift only

5+ years’ RN experience Sign-on bonus $20,000 for nightshift only

Education Assistance: Up to $20,000 Loan Forgiveness for new grad nurses

Tuition Reimbursement up to $2,000 per year

$3000 Relocation Assistance for full time only

Weekend Differential

Shift Differential for qualifying hours between 3pm-7am

Weekend Option Days: WEO rates + weekend differential

Weekend Option Nights: WEO rates + weekend differential + straight night shift differential

New Increased Weekend Option Differential: $10.00 RN

Qualifications: Education:

Graduate or upcoming Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.

Licensure:

Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certifications:

Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis

Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift

Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

The 4B Cardiac Unit, comprised of 31 beds, focuses on adult Cardiac patient, Drug loading, post Angio, CHF, vascular and medical patients. Shift schedules include days

) and nights

), with weekend rotation every 2 weeks. Clinical skills include: Telemetry Monitoring Pacemaker/ICA Care Post Angio Care TR Band BiPap 5 Main Medication Drips

Qualifications: Education:

Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.

Licensure:

Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.

Physical Requirements/Demands:

Stand/Walk most of the time on duty; significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance; push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds

Experience:

Can be new or experienced LPN

Certifications:

Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Certifications:

IV Certification.
