Category Manager II

Overview Vaco Atlanta is excited to partner with an impressive client in Alpharetta, GA for the search of a Category Manager II . This is a CONTRACT position for up to 4 months with possible extension for a longer period. Candidates to be considered must live in the Atlanta, GA metropolitan area as in-office work is required. Responsibilities Support strategic sourcing activities Organize and lead category strategy development to optimize value Manage supply market dynamics Develop operational knowledge of assigned categories to better understand and strategize supply market dynamics Optimize cost savings, revenue enhancements and KPI monitoring Evaluate strategic suppliers Achieve annual value objectives Suggest process improvements Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree or certification is preferred 4+ years of Category management or procurement experience Must possess SRM experience - proficiency reading and negotiating contracts Must be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. PowerBI experience is preferred.
