We are seeking a reliable and experienced MSK Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer to join our growing team 4 days per week .

This is a multi-location position involving travel to scheduled medical offices throughout NYC and surrounding areas. The technologist will perform musculoskeletal ultrasound examinations and should be comfortable working independently in different medical office settings.

Ultrasound equipment is provided. Candidates do not need to supply their own machine.

The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, confident in MSK scanning, comfortable working independently, and excellent with patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality musculoskeletal ultrasound examinations
• Perform examinations involving the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar regions
• Perform upper and lower extremity examinations
• Properly position patients for examinations
• Clearly explain procedures and maintain patient comfort
• Obtain consistent, high-quality diagnostic images
• Adjust ultrasound equipment settings as needed to optimize image quality
• Accurately save, label, and organize ultrasound images
• Maintain complete and accurate examination documentation
• Follow proper infection-control and equipment-cleaning procedures
• Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and office staff
• Work independently at scheduled medical office locations
• Travel between assigned office locations as scheduled
• Handle equipment responsibly and maintain a professional work environment

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on MSK ultrasound experience required
• Experience performing musculoskeletal ultrasound examinations
• Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy
• Experience with upper and lower extremity examinations
• Experience with cervical, thoracic, and lumbar examinations
• Ability to obtain consistent, high-quality images
• Comfortable working independently
• Excellent patient communication skills
• Professional, dependable, organized, and punctual
• Must have reliable personal transportation
• Must be willing and able to travel between scheduled medical office locations

Preferred Qualifications

• ARDMS credential preferred
• RMSKS credential strongly preferred
• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Ultrasound Technology program preferred
• Prior experience in outpatient, private-practice, or multi-location medical settings preferred
