Laundry Attendant

Full-time
- Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load, sort, and process linens, towels, and guest laundry according to established procedures.
- Inspect laundry for stains, tears, and damage; treat stains as required.
- Fold, press, and organize laundered items neatly for distribution.
- Maintain accurate counts of clean and soiled linens.
- Deliver clean linens to designated storage or housekeeping areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry facility, equipment, and storage areas.
- Assist with inventory and report shortages or equipment malfunctions.
- Follow all hotel safety, security, and sanitation procedures.
- Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with guests and co-workers
- Adhere to precautions and use personal protective equipment (PPE) for all chemicals as outlined on Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation.
- Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Previous housekeeping or laundry experience in a hotel environment highly desired.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to follow job duties.
- Ability to work varied schedule as necessary including weekends and holidays.
- Must tolerate prolonged periods of standing, walking, kneeling, bending, stooping, and climbing stairs.
- Must tolerate exposure to cleaning solutions.
- Must be able to push up to 75 pounds, lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to visually inspect linens and terry.
