About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Epic experience required Must-Have: - Call required - Weekends required every other week - Potential to care for COVID patients - Tobacco and fragrance-free facility Description: Candidates will be reviewed by clinical staff to determine clinical fit. If the candidate passes the clinical review and meets the guidelines, they will be sent for a final decision. Manager will conduct interviews. Patient ratios are 4:1. Floating may be required as needed. Weekends are required every other week. On-call responsibilities are necessary. Holidays may be required as needed. Additional skills needed include the ability to perform assessments and interventions related to labor and delivery. Clinical expertise in areas such as postpartum care, neonatal care, and obstetrical emergencies is essential. Experience with electronic charting systems is important. Triage of obstetrical patients and support for breastfeeding and newborn care are needed. Candidates will assist with procedures such as assists with vaginal delivery and cesarean sections. Knowledge of current guidelines and protocols in maternal and infant care is necessary. Candidates will provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care and discharge planning. All candidates must comply with facility policies and procedures.
