Barista

Savannah Scone Company is seeking a Barista to join our team and growing business. The ideal candidate brings a love of coffee and hospitality, takes pride in crafting every drink with care, and connects with guests warmly and naturally. Previous barista or cafe experience is preferred. Responsibilities Prepare high-quality espresso and coffee beverages with consistency and attention to detail Dial in espresso, steam milk properly, and maintain beverage standards across all drinks Engage guests with warmth and professionalism while guiding them through drink selections Suggest pairings between beverages and scones to enhance the guest experience Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, equipment, and service areas Monitor and restock coffee, milk, syrups, and supplies throughout shifts Accurately process orders through POS and coordinate timing with front-of-house flow Assist with packaging, labeling, and organizing preorders and shipped orders Maintain proper sanitation practices, including triple-sink cleaning procedures Follow opening and closing barista checklists Comply with all health, safety, dress code, and hygiene standards Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance Support additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership Attributes & Ability Passion for coffee, hospitality, and delivering a premium guest experience Strong attention to detail in both beverage quality and presentation Calm and efficient under pressure, especially during peak service Friendly, confident, and engaging with guests Ability to multitask while maintaining consistency and cleanliness Organized and proactive with strong time management skills Comfortable working with espresso equipment and learning new systems Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older Previous barista or cafe experience preferred Willingness to learn SSC beverage standards and recipes ServSafe certification is preferred but not required; we are happy to support the right candidate in obtaining certification Flexible schedule required, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays Hours may extend beyond posted operating times based on business needs Schedule Monday - Saturday, 7:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Part-time, in person, Downtown Coffee Shop & Scone Shop, Savannah, GA 31401 Benefits Employee discount #J-18808-Ljbffr Savannah Scone Company
