The Plumbing Apprentices assists the Plumbing Expert with service calls to customers in their homes and utilizes customer service training to educate and assist customers in choosing service, products and finance options. The essential functions of the Plumbing Apprentice are to help provide general plumbing installation and repair services to our customers. Must have a current registered apprentice card and a current valid driver license in the state of Texas.

Required Skills:

• Competent, responsible, organized and team oriented
• Strong communication and average computer skills
• Strong basic math skills
• Ability to follow orders and directions
• Maintain an active apprentice card
• Above average problem solving skills

Essential Job Functions:

• Performs all work in a safe manner. Watches out for fellow team members to ensure they are working in a safe manner as well. Wears all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required at all times
• Responsible for abiding by all safety and conduct policies laid out by the company, government entities and the different work sites
• Performs a variety of duties assigned to them by the Plumbing Technician or Supervisor.
• Works with various types of piping including iron, steel, copper and PVC
• Ability to operate powered equipment including hand tools, stationary machines and others as required in a safe manner at all times
• Makes decisions and solves problems analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems
• Maintains a high quality initiative while completing assigned duties
• Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a continuous basis and more than 50 lbs. occasionally
