About the College/Unit/Department: The Department of Educational Psychology has 29 full-time faculty and serves the college and university through courses and programs of study that support knowledge in (a) the psychological constructs associated with teaching and learning and (b) empirical methodologies. The department has four areas of emphasis: Applied Cognition and Development, Gifted and Creative Education, Measurement, Data Science, and Statistics, and School Psychology. We offer a DoubleDawg program, graduate degrees at the masters (MA, MEd), specialist (EdS) and doctoral (PhD) levels as well as two undergraduate minors in Personal Health and Well-being and Educational Psychology. The College: As the 4th largest public college of education in the country and the 3rd largest college at UGA, the Mary Frances Early College of Education (MFECOE) improves the lives of residents of Georgia and beyond through our instruction, research, and service. The MFECOE is a comprehensive college with disciplines focused on teacher preparation, counseling and human development, communication sciences, human movement sciences, career development, student affairs, and educational administration and policy. We place significant emphasis on graduate education with approximately 40% of our students at the graduate level, making us the second largest college at UGA with respect to graduate education.

Minimum Qualifications - A terminal doctoral degree from an APA-accredited, NASP-approved School Psychology Program.

Position Summary - Responsibilities include all of the following and other related assignments: Supervision of school-based practica and internship for the students in the school psychology specialist (EdS) program per state and national guidelines. Teaching online and in-person undergraduate and graduate courses in the department (e.g., introduction to educational psychology, abnormal child psychology, classroom and behavior management, nurturing independent learners) Supervision of doctoral students completing clinic-based practica in the UGA School Psychology Clinic and seeking licensure Serving on students' advisory and examination committees Engaging in departmental, college, university, community and/or professional service

Additional Requirements - At least 2 years of experience as a school psychologist in K-12 schools Eligibility for certification as a school psychologist in the state of Georgia Licensed or license-eligible with the Georgia Board of Psychology

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification - Established record of working in clinical settings with children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disabilities Proven history of clinical supervision
