Seeking Lactation Consultant to work Full-time, variety of 7a - 7:30p OR 10a - 10:30p, 72 hours bi-weekly. We are seeking a candidate who can work three 12 hour shifts each week, share of weekends and holidays.

NICU IBCLC or Postpartum experience required. Job Summary Provides education, support and counseling of expectant and new parents on breastfeeding. Demonstrate an understanding of lactation and be able to offer phone consultations on breastfeeding concerns. Independently provides patient care using the nursing process and performs leadership and teaching duties necessary that supports effective patient care. Supports and participates in continuous quality improvement activities. Functions within the limits of the State and Federal licensing, regulatory bodies and hospital policies.

Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required: Eligible for or currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in State of Maryland or compact state. Associates degree in Nursing required; Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred or willing to obtain within 5 years of employment. Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Certified in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) IBCLC certification required Previous/current postpartum experience is required for this position.
