CHILD PROTECTION SPECIALIST (CONTRACT POSITION)

Department: Department of Human Resource Development Social Services Division Responsibilities Serve as a mandatory reporter of child abuse/neglect. Participate in on‑call duties on a rotating schedule and perform duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, or related field, or equivalent of 4 years’ experience in case management for vulnerable populations. Must pass a background investigation and meet applicable statutory requirements. Must not have ever had a CPS substantiation or been convicted of a felony involving domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse, sexual offense, or violent crime. Must not have alcohol, drug or domestic‑violence-related charges within the past five years, nor have been dismissed from employment within the past three years. Must possess a valid Montana driver’s license. Must be willing to undergo random drug/alcohol testing under the CSKT drug‑testing program.
