This role involves assisting with strategic planning, team management, and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Job Responsibilities:Assist the Director of Operations in developing and implementing operational strategies to achieve organizational goals and enhance productivity.Oversee daily operational activities, ensuring smooth workflows, efficient resource allocation, and adherence to established procedures.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, analyzing data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvement projects, utilizing methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma to streamline operations.Support the management of operational budgets, assisting with forecasting, expense control, and financial reporting.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless integration and coordination of activities.Assist in the training and development of operational staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.Participate in incident management and problem-solving, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.Prepare and present operational reports and updates to senior management.Job Qualifications:4-year degree or equivalent experience9+ years of professional experience3+ years operational and leadership experience overseeing team operations including tactical aspects of distribution operations, warehouse management, labor management, project management, and financial managementKey Skills:Proven ability to analyze operational data, identify trends, and implement data-driven solutions.Strong understanding of operational best practices, process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), and quality management systems.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.Understand distribution center pharmaceutical supply chain operations from beginning to endAbility to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.Ability to be on-call and work various hours to manage across the 24-hour workday within the distribution center.McKesson has become aware of online recruiting-related scams in which individuals who are not affiliated with or authorized by McKesson are using McKesson's (or affiliated entities, like CoverMyMeds or RxCrossroads) name in fraudulent emails, job postings or social media messages.
