Coast Heart Institute in Gulfport, MS is looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Accountant to join our team. Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts on a regular basis
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and schedules
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to track and manage expenses

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare or medical practice setting
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Excel
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Experience with medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle is a plus
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
