# Job Opportunity – Telemetry/Cardiac Registered Nurse – Upstate New York

Start Date: December 14, 2026

Schedule: Every other weekend required; 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio; 8-hour non-billable orientation

Highlights:

• 16-bed telemetry/cardiac unit specializing in close and continuous cardiac monitoring for patients with cardiovascular disease
• Adult and geriatric patient population requiring cardiac rhythm interpretation and documentation twice per shift
• EPIC electronic medical record system in use - experience required
• 13-week contract with flexibility for up to 5 days of approved time off (must be disclosed at submission)
• Charming community hospital setting located along the Hudson River with access to local entertainment, dining, and seasonal festivals
• Remote telemetry unit with strong emphasis on patient-centered care

Requirements:

• Active New York State RN license
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
• Strong proficiency and experience working on Cardiac/Telemetry or Medical-Telemetry units required
• EPIC EMR experience mandatory
• Demonstrated ability to interpret, measure, and document cardiac rhythms per department protocols
• Previous travel experience highly preferred
• Neuro/stroke experience highly preferred
• Reliable attendance record and patient-oriented approach essential
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required
• New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate required
• Completion of Welle or CPI training for onboarding
• 14-panel drug screen completion within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years
• Current skills checklist (within one year)
