Physical Therapist | Outpatient

Location: Therapy Center-Aberdeen Worker Type: Regular Shift: Primarily days with rotating weekends and holidays (United States of America) Pay Range: $35.50 - $53.75 (actual pay rate dependent upon experience) Position Highlights May be eligible for a $10,000 sign on bonus. Student Loan Repayment Program: Avera may provide an extra payment of $167 per month, up to $10,000. Overview Responsible for the daily coordination and delivery of physical therapy services implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients and patient groups according to the principles and practices of physical therapy and the established objectives of the department. What you will do Evaluate assigned patients, gathering data from a variety of sources such as patient records, interviews, observation, and team members. Develop and implement individualized treatment programs for patients. Use selected activities and/or tasks to promote and maintain health, and to achieve treatment goals; establish and modify intervention strategies based on ongoing evaluation. Provide direct therapy services to patients using various functional settings and strategies, planning therapy within the patient’s individual physical, emotional and intellectual capabilities and coordinating with the rehabilitation, medical, and nursing care plans. Prepare documentation such as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, progress notes, and other reports. Communicate effectively with the patient, family, physician, and other disciplinary team members regarding the patient’s status, progress, and needs. Establish rapport and work cooperatively with interdisciplinary team members, including family and physicians, throughout the patient’s intervention program. Enhance professional growth through participation in educational programs, current literature, in‑service meetings, workshops, etc. Essential Qualifications Must be able to work the specified hours. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience Physical Therapist with an active license in the state of practice upon hire. Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience 1‑3 years of experience as a licensed physical therapist.
