Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab / EP (12-Hour Days)

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor conscious sedation throughout cardiac and interventional procedures
• Assess and continuously monitor the clinical status of patients in a 2-room Cath Lab with 5 pre/post holding bays
• Apply theoretical and practical knowledge of medications used in the Cath Lab setting
• Maintain knowledge of radiation safety, infection control, and hemodynamic support protocols
• Provide care for patient types including cardiac diagnostic and intervention, implantable devices, EP mapping and ablation, vascular diagnostic and intervention, and interventional radiology
• Communicate effectively with the patient care team, patients, and patients' families

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience
• Proficiency with EMR systems EPIC and Merge
• Must be available for on-call shifts: approximately every 4th weekend (Friday 1700 – Monday 0700) and one weekday call per week (end of shift through 0700 the following morning)
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EP mapping and ablation procedures
• Familiarity with implantable cardiac device procedures
• Background in vascular diagnostic and interventional radiology cases
