Structural Steel CNC Equipment Operator Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Location: Cocoa Beach, FL Starting Pay: $24.00/hour (Compensation may be higher based on experience.) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel CNC Equipment Operator to join a manufacturing team producing precision steel components. The ideal candidate has experience operating CNC cutting, drilling, or sawing equipment and is comfortable working with overhead cranes in a production environment. This position offers the opportunity to work with specialized structural steel fabrication equipment while maintaining quality, accuracy, and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC equipment by selecting the correct machine settings for each job Operate one or more of the following: Kinetic Plasma Table Peddinghaus Saw/Drill Line Peddinghaus Angle Master Ficep Beamline Verify material dimensions and specifications before processing Select the correct material type, stock size, and required dimensions Mark parts accurately according to production requirements Read and follow work instructions, drawings, and production documents Record daily production activity and material usage Perform routine preventive maintenance and assist with troubleshooting equipment issues Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Safely move materials using overhead cranes and material transfer systems Regularly lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds Required Qualifications Experience operating CNC plasma tables or CNC sawing, drilling, or cutting equipment Ability to safely operate overhead cranes Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16 inch Basic math skills Ability to work on your feet for extended periods Comfortable working in both hot and cold manufacturing environments Preferred Qualifications Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, symbols, and production notes Experience with Tekla PowerFab Previous experience in structural steel fabrication or metal manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr Qualdoc
