Title: Assembler

Type: Temporary to Permanent

Pay: $18-$21, based on experience 

Shift:  Monday – Friday, 6am-2:30pm

Location : Solon

Position Summary:

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling mechanical components and subassemblies according to blueprints, work instructions, and specifications. This role ensures that all parts meet quality standards and production deadlines while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble mechanical parts, subassemblies, and finished products using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings to ensure accurate builds.
• Inspect and test completed assemblies for proper operation and quality compliance.
• Identify and report defective materials or components to supervisors.
• Maintain production documentation and update work orders as required.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve assembly or design issues.
• Perform rework or adjustments as needed to meet quality and functionality standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and written instructions.
• Skilled in using various hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing or production floor environment.
• May be exposed to moderate noise, machinery, and occasional fumes.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required as applicable.
