Reports To: Clinical Leadership 1. POSITION SUMMARY This role provides comprehensive hematology and oncology care within a large, expanding cancer program. The position includes outpatient clinical care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary oncology team, and participation in a practice supported by research, genetic counseling, and advanced treatment resources. The environment offers significant growth potential and a strong referral network. 2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions.
• Manage outpatient clinical visits and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
• Collaborate with oncology pharmacists, research staff, genetic counselors, dietitians, and social workers.
• Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary case discussions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
• Support patient education, care coordination, and longitudinal cancer management.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. 3. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.
• Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Georgia. 4. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Interest in working within a large, multidisciplinary oncology program. 5. COMPETENCIES • Clinical expertise in hematology and oncology care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to patient centered, evidence based care.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records. 6. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide comprehensive care for patients with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies.
• Participate in treatment planning, follow up care, and infusion related services.
• Collaborate with oncology pharmacists, research teams, and genetic counselors.
• Engage in multidisciplinary tumor boards and case reviews. 7. ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES • Participate in departmental meetings and clinical operations as assigned.
• Engage in continuing medical education and professional development. 8. WORK SETTING & ENVIRONMENT Work Environment: Outpatient; Clinic/Private Practice; Hospital • Multidisciplinary oncology team including physicians, advanced practice providers, RNs, dietitians, social workers, research staff, and genetic counselors.
• Care delivered across outpatient clinics with access to infusion services and diagnostic resources.
• Use of industry standard EMR systems and modern oncology treatment technologies.
• Strong referral network across multiple specialties. 9. SCHEDULE & CALL REQUIREMENTS • Standard outpatient schedule.
• Shared call responsibilities as part of the oncology team. 10. REPORTING STRUCTURE This position reports to Clinical Leadership and collaborates with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing teams, and administrative staff across the organization. 11. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Competitive base compensation with productivity incentives.
• Approximate total earnings potential in the upper six figures to seven figure range.
