Recertification Specialist Responsibilities 

• Manage annual and interim recertifications in accordance with affordable housing program requirements 

• Review and verify income, assets, and supporting documentation for compliance accuracy 

• Maintain resident files and ensure all documentation is complete and audit-ready 

• Communicate with residents regarding recertification deadlines, required documents, and eligibility requirements 

• Work closely with property management teams to ensure compliance with HUD, LIHTC, Section 8, and other affordable housing programs 

• Track deadlines and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements 

• Assist with compliance reporting and preparation for audits or file reviews 

Requirements 

• Minimum 1 year of affordable housing compliance or recertification experience REQUIRED 

• Knowledge of HUD, LIHTC, Section 8, and affordable housing regulations REQUIRED 

• Experience with Yardi, OneSite, RealPage, ResMan, or similar property management software preferred 

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines 

• Excellent communication and customer service skills 

• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance 

• Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision
