AED Certified Emergency Department Technician

Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest as an Emergency Department Technician. This role involves providing direct patient care and supporting clinical staff in a busy emergency setting. You will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Physicians, delivering compassionate care and assisting with a variety of technical and clinical tasks.
Job Summary As an Emergency Department Technician, you will perform essential patient care activities such as CPR, vital signs monitoring, cardiac telemetry, EKG acquisition, wound care, and assisting with procedures. You will also support triage, patient transport, and personal care needs, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for patients. Education- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (NA-C), Medical Assistant Certified (MA-C), or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program with active certification.
- Nursing Assistant Registered (NA-R) application must be submitted within 30 days of hire and maintained annually.
- Minimum two years of experience in a patient care setting.
- Experience in acute care, emergency departments, or as a first responder is preferred.
- Telemetry experience is a plus.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
- Medical Assistant Phlebotomy certification required within six months of hire.
- Strong knowledge of patient care practices and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and medical telemetry equipment.
