Java Microservices Developer

Software Engineer Position What technical experience and skills are required for this position? Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field preferred Typically requires four to seven years experience based on consistently demonstrated capabilities Technical skills may include experience with one or more of: J2EE/Java, Linux, Windows, Oracle, Apache Ignite/Cloud computing Solid expertise in J2EE/Java development (3-7 years) Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines is plus Experience in Bash scripting/Linux system administration is also a plus Any search engine experience (especially Elasticsearch) is a plus Experience in Spring Boot, Apache/Ignite technology is highly preferred. Experience using Kafka, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ or any messaging broker is a plus Advanced task estimation and planning skills Able to perform tasks with little or no technical supervision Experience using Relational Databases (ex. Oracle/Informix/SQL Server etc.) and writing SQL queries Must be a team player with great interpersonal and communication skills; time-management skills are critical What will the person do in this role? Create, test and support software applications. Participate in design sessions with the Architects and produce low-level designs as necessary Collaborate with other engineers in the team to deliver new capabilities. Coach and mentor other team members as needed. Quickly and effectively troubleshoot problems in development and production environments Review code and designs from other members on the team. Provide suggestions on performance improvements of existing platform. Coordinate with product owners and business partners to gather requirements and document them as needed. Provide production support and being active team member of on-call rotation Able to perform tasks with little or no technical supervision with solid problem solving, domain technical and analytical skills.
