Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients across diverse age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.
• Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of blood tubes in the patient's presence.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to specimen collection and processing.
• Create a trustful environment by explaining procedures clearly and demonstrating professionalism and confidentiality.
• Perform specimen collection and processing duties following the organization's practices and policies.
• Ensure a safe, confidential, and professional environment at all times.
• Work independently in a high-volume setting, managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Participate in travel and flexible hours to cover multiple locations, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.

Required Skills

• Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric blood collection techniques.
• Ability to perform accurate blood draws and specimen processing in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and customer focus to ensure a positive patient experience.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to error-free work and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Keyboard and data entry proficiency.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections, required.
• Experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record if applicable.
• Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime to support multiple locations.
