Lead Generation & Growth Specialist

We're hiring someone who has already built a lead generation system that worked and can do it again for us.

This is the core of the position.

We're looking for someone who has personally owned the design and execution of a lead-generation system that consistently produced qualified sales opportunities . You should be able to explain what you built, what you personally owned, how the system worked from beginning to end, what it produced, and how you measured success.

We're less interested in titles or years of experience than demonstrated results

BUI is an established, growing financial-services company with a nationwide client base. Our external wholesalers, called Marketing Representatives, currently spend too much time identifying prospects and cold calling. Your job is to change that.

We want to build an internal growth engine that identifies the right financial advisors and centers of influence, determines which prospects are worth pursuing, engages them effectively, and ultimately creates more qualified opportunities for our sales team.

You'll be responsible for our lead-generation system from prospect identification through sales opportunity and attribution , including:

• Defining and refining target audiences and ideal prospect profiles
• Identifying, sourcing, enriching and segmenting prospect data
• Developing methods to score and prioritize prospects based on meaningful signals
• Building and optimizing outbound, digital and other acquisition campaigns
• Creating automated workflows for prospect engagement, nurture and follow-up
• Integrating lead-generation activities with our CRM and sales processes
• Using AI within workflows for areas such as research, enrichment, classification, scoring, personalization and automation
• Establishing clear attribution so we know which activities are producing meetings, opportunities and revenue
• Measuring conversion rates, cost per lead, cost per qualified opportunity, customer acquisition cost and other relevant performance metrics
• Continuously testing and improving the system based on results
• Evaluating our existing technology and determining what should be retained, integrated, replaced or added

You'll have significant autonomy to determine how we accomplish these goals. We're looking for someone who can assess what exists today, develop the strategy, and then personally execute it.

The most important qualification is simple:

You've done this before.

Specifically:

• You have personally owned meaningful portions of a lead-generation system that produced measurable, repeatable results
• You can clearly explain what you built versus what was handled by colleagues, agencies or vendors
• You understand how targeting, data, acquisition channels, CRM, automation, sales handoff, attribution and measurement work together
• You're comfortable with modern CRM, marketing automation, outbound, enrichment and analytics platforms
• You've used AI as part of an actual workflow or business process, beyond simply using ChatGPT or another LLM for writing, research or brainstorming
• You make decisions based on data and business outcomes rather than activity or vanity metrics
• You're comfortable building and executing, not simply managing vendors or developing strategy
• You can work autonomously, communicate clearly and take ownership of results

Insurance experience is not required. We can teach you our industry. We're hiring for your ability to build systems that create qualified opportunities.

Our current technology includes Salesforce, Sales Engagement, WealthAttract, ActiveCampaign, Constant Contact, LinkedIn tools and other platforms.

We're not committed to keeping everything we currently use . We need to understand what works, what doesn't, and how to improve.

Part of your job will be determining what works, what doesn't, what should integrate, and what should change.

BUI is a wholesale distributor of life insurance, long-term care insurance and annuities.
