Do you have a passion for animal care and experience working with dogs? Barkside Lodge is hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Kennel Technicians in Lenoir City, TN , and we're looking for dependable, motivated individuals who enjoy staying active and take pride in providing exceptional care. This is also a great opportunity for University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine students looking to gain valuable hands-on experience working with dogs while pursuing their veterinary education.

We offer flexible scheduling options for both full-time and part-time team members, including 4-hour and 8-hour shifts throughout the week and on weekends . When possible, we'll work with your availability and school schedule to help create a schedule that fits your commitments.

Schedule

This is a part-time position that requires flexibility.

Applicants must be available to work weekends, holidays, and have open availability during the week. Our dogs rely on us every day of the year, so reliability and a flexible schedule are essential.

What You'll Do

As a Dog Kennel Technician, you'll play an important role in keeping our canine guests healthy, happy, and safe. Responsibilities include:

• Monitor the health, comfort, and well-being of every dog in your care
• Clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, and common spaces
• Supervise group play while ensuring safe interactions between dogs
• Lead engaging play sessions and provide daily enrichment
• Provide fresh water, monitor behavior, and report any health concerns
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized facility
• Deliver exceptional care and outstanding customer service to pet parents

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• At least 1 year of kennel, dog daycare, boarding, or animal care experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of dog behavior, body language, and breed characteristics
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stay active throughout the shift, including standing, walking, lifting, cleaning, and working with dogs of all sizes
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and maintain open weekday availability
