Make an impact every day supporting elementary students with mild to moderate behavioral needs in a dynamic school setting. This contract position runs full-time from ASAP through the end of the school year, providing an excellent opportunity to apply your passion for special education while bringing expertise and compassion to students who need it most.
What You’ll Bring:
- CTC Certification with a Mild/Moderate Specialist Credential (required)
- Demonstrated experience working with students who exhibit behavioral challenges
- Background supporting elementary-aged students in special education settings
- Strong communication, crisis intervention, and collaborative problem-solving skills
- Adaptable, professional, and committed to fostering inclusive, effective learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted, individualized instruction and behavioral support to students on a mild/moderate caseload
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Use evidence-based interventions and data-driven strategies to encourage growth and achievement
- Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families to facilitate student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports, ensuring compliance with district and state requirements
