LifeSet Specialist (Contract Pending)

Youth Villages is a national leader in children’s mental and behavioral health. Program Overview LifeSet, developed by Youth Villages, is an evidence-based, intensive community‑based program that bridges foster care, juvenile justice, and mental health systems. It serves young people aged 17 to 23, offering individualized case management and counseling in key areas such as interpersonal support, housing, health, career, life skills, and education. The goal is to strengthen family relationships, improve graduation rates, reduce substance use, and lower homelessness, incarceration, and intimate partner violence. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Carry a maximum caseload of 8 to 10 young adults Meet each young adult at least once per week, increasing or decreasing frequency as directed by the clinical supervisor Provide accurate, timely information to the clinical supervisor during crises Implement supervisor‑recommended interventions, reflected in the next treatment plan cycle Participate weekly in supervision exercises to ensure appropriate conceptualization and implementation of treatment Deliver therapeutic services in accordance with Youth Villages’ mission, values, and the LifeSet Model principles Attend three weekly professional development meetings (individual, team, clinical consultation) and quarterly booster training sessions Conduct ongoing assessment of each young adult from a strength‑focused, solution‑based perspective Engage and align with the young adult and their support system to elicit full participation in treatment Provide on‑call crisis support to the young adult (schedules vary by location) Complete accurate, timely documentation in an electronic medical record system (EMR) Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Master’s degree in a social services discipline (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree in a social services discipline (required). Eligible disciplines include social work, drug and alcohol education or counseling, psychology, criminal justice, guidance counseling, or marriage and family therapy (others subject to review). One year of related experience in counseling and/or case management (required) Experience working with at‑risk youth and/or families in a volunteer, internship, or paid position (preferred) Clinical experience (preferred) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Basic computer knowledge Ability to maintain a flexible schedule Valid driver’s license, personal automobile, and proof of auto insurance (required) Salary $56,000 – $61,000 annually, based on education and licensure Benefits Medical, Dental, Prescription Drug Coverage, and Vision 401(k) retirement plan 2 weeks paid vacation (full‑time) / 1 week paid vacation (part‑time) 12 paid sick days per year 11 paid holidays Paid parental leave Mileage and Cell Phone Reimbursement (when applicable) Tuition reimbursement and licensure supervision Growth and development through continuous training Clinical and administrative advancement opportunities Additional Information Schedule is flexible and non‑traditional, based on the availability of youth and families served.
