Job Title: Technician Job Description

This hands-on Technician role supports the maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of scaffolding and sidewalk canopy systems used on commercial construction projects throughout the New York City and New Jersey markets. The Technician ensures equipment is properly prepared, assembled, and inspected so that all materials meet quality standards and are ready for deployment to active job sites.

• Perform hands-on preparation, maintenance, and refurbishment of scaffolding and sidewalk canopy components for commercial construction projects.
• Sand, paint, clean, and repair materials to meet established quality and safety standards.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for maintenance, repair, and assembly tasks.
• Assist with the assembly and disassembly of scaffold and canopy systems in accordance with work instructions.
• Load, unload, organize, and stage materials for shipment to project sites across the NYC and NJ markets.
• Inspect materials for damage and identify components that require repair or replacement.
• Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards throughout the workday.
• Follow detailed work instructions and collaborate with team members to meet production and turnaround goals.
• Support inventory management and material tracking activities to ensure accurate documentation and availability of equipment.
• Perform general labor and construction-related tasks as needed to support operations and project requirements.

• Experience performing general labor in a warehouse, construction, or industrial environment.
• Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively for tasks such as assembly, repair, and maintenance.
• Ability to operate power tools in a safe and controlled manner.
• Hands-on experience with assembly and disassembly of mechanical or structural components.
• Capability to perform sanding, painting, cleaning, and basic repair work on equipment and materials.
• Strong attention to detail when inspecting materials for damage and quality issues.
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions accurately.
• Reliability in maintaining organization, cleanliness, and safety standards in a warehouse setting.
• Physical ability to load, unload, and move materials, including frequent standing, lifting, and manual handling.

• Experience working with scaffolding, sidewalk canopy systems, or other construction-related equipment is a plus.
• Background in construction, warehouse operations, or industrial maintenance is beneficial.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and production goals.
• Ability to support inventory management and material tracking processes.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.

This role is based in a warehouse and industrial setting that supports commercial construction projects in the NYC and NJ markets. Work is primarily hands-on and physical, involving frequent use of hand tools and power tools, as well as tasks such as sanding, painting, cleaning, assembling, loading, and unloading materials. The Technician works around scaffolding and sidewalk canopy components, with a focus on organization, cleanliness, and adherence to safety standards. The environment requires comfort with manual labor, working on your feet, and handling materials and equipment throughout the shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Hackensack, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
