Regional Safety Manager

Job DescriptionThe Regional Operations Safety Leader will provide regional safety leadership as directed by the Operations Safety Manager and aligned with the RVP. This employee will help align operations with Lincare safety policy and the annual safety metrics performance strategy. They will contribute by focusing the operations organization to achieve a safety culture which exemplifies the Lincare safety policy; this will include leadership driving organizational accountability and will be positioned to enhance the safety value system of leaders. Job Responsibilities: Analyze measures and metrics to adequately provide appropriate levels of feedback to drive the safety performance of the business Reviews multiple avenues of feedback to identify and communicate risk across the four regions of operationLeads the Regional Safety leaders and Safety Trainers to establish a standard of operation that meets the Lincare safety policies and annual safety goalsIdentifies gaps between corporate safety policy and business practices through the on-going management of a business group safety action plan that supports the corporate safety vision, as well as the business planGaps in resources within the business safety group as well of operations leadership should be clearly communicated and managed with business leadership in conjunction with the safety DirectorShares safety best practices to enable a higher standard of safe and environmentally-friendly work, and to help mature into a learning cultureAides the business unit in reporting efforts during safety related emergency events while advocating for resources for stability and recoveryInterfaces with external agencies in reporting, permitting, compliance demonstration, and program development activitiesFocuses business growth initiatives and operational change through the lens of a grounded safety approachLeads safety policy qualifications process to standardize messaging and accountability with Center Managers and Area Managers to ensure consistent expectation of safety being the number one objectiveEnsures the business is supporting safety policy through the appropriate staffing of subject matter experts for all high level safety functions requiring sustainability inside of the operations teamEnsure all sites are managed with appropriate Safety Trainers safety support utilizing calendars and ensuring appropriate travel schedules of all Regional Safety Leaders and safety Trainers as needed to maintain a conscious awareness of safety compliance with an emphasis on Operations understanding, value and practice of Lincare Safety PolicyJob RequirementsAll are welcome to apply, but it is preferred that Candidates live in or near Phoenix, AZ; Tucson, AZ; or Las Vegas, NVMinimum, 5 years of safety field management experience or 3 years of safety field management experience with a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or related fieldWorking knowledge of OSHA General Industry Standards Driver safety experienceWillingness to travel approximately 30-50% Communicate with frontline leaders, workers, and different levels of leadership to articulate issues and action plansPossess a conflict management skillset that can help enable a business to growDetail-oriented and able to work independently with a minimum of supervisionpossess excellent organizational and team building skillseffectively prioritize work Job DetailsJob Type: Full-timeCategory: Management
